Monday morning ramble

I started writing this post about five minutes ago.

It began as a bit of a ramble about how this was the start of the last week of the school holidays and this made me both happy and sad. Blah blah blah.

Then I deleted it and checked my email. Seeing those little red notification icons on my apps drives me batty I must rid them instantaneously. Lucky for me I don't get a whole lot of emails so it is quite easy to stay on top of. This particular one was a weekly newsletter from a fellow blogger.

But now I am just starting to ramble (again)

It is not long after 8am and once again the house is filled with quiet as children catch up on sleep from excessive late nights. Which to me is one of the joys of school holidays. A chance to break free from routines and rules and just do whatever the hell we please.

I had hoped to use this time alone to transcribe the next chapter of my novel but I am too scared of making noise and waking the baby (who is actually a five year old). I have a groovy headset and program that means I can read the hard copy that I have out loud and my computer will magically type it out for me.

Unfortunately a month or so ago I did something to my back which has resulted in it being rather sore since then. Especially after sitting in front of the computer for more than five minutes. Which as you can imagine makes sitting down to write even more difficult than what I was already finding it.

All the sighs.

I feel like a bit of a fraud complaining about it because as always I think of all the other people out there with real problems and pain they have been battling with for much longer and harder than mine. I don't know why I always seem to think my issues are not as justified as everyone else's but I do.

More big sighs.

Anyways moving right along.

I feel I must apologise for the disjointedness of my writing at this point. Having been away from it for so long it feels like I don't know how to do it any more. I am constantly battling inside my own head that all the ideas and words I have are just not worth sharing. It is hard to ignore but trying I am. Fingers crossed that if I keep persevering before too long something of worth will come.

I hope you stick around and keep coming back till then.

joining in with Alicia

Things I Know About Running Off With Someone Else's Linky

TIK at A Parenting LifePoor Miss Cinders is not feeling the best. She has caught the dreaded lurgy that has been infecting her kids all week long and is so unwell she can't even think about looking at her computer to share some of what she knows.

Then to make things even worse her silly phone had a hissy fit and wouldn't let her post on her Facebook page explaining there would be no Things I Know this week. She asked if I would be so kind as to leave a message on her wall to let everyone know what was going on. Which of course I was only too happy to do.

Until I had a brain wave and realised I could do one better than that.

I could just host the linky myself! After all it is not like I haven't before.

So here I am unofficially running off with Things I Know this week. I say unofficially because while I did tell Miss C that is what I was gong to do, I didn't exactly wait for her ok to go ahead with it. But I am pretty sure that she would be a pleased as punch.

You see I know how much she loves me (and I her for that matter)

See, nothing but lots of love there
I know that the moment Miss Cinders and I met in real life I felt like I was in the company of a bestie I had known all my life.

I know that I hate the fact we live at opposite ends of the country and are both too poor (financially and time wise) to hang out with each other on a regular basis.

I know that when we go on our trip of a life time we will be stopping by to see the lovely Miss C.

I know that neither Mr Awesome or Miss Cinders were aware of that before this moment.

I know that there are actually lots of people that I want to drop in and see as we travel round.

I know that I should have gone to the trouble of putting the watermark on that photo in the white bar.

I know that it is too late for me to fuss around with such things.

I know being told you have a blood clot really throws you for six.

I know that in the scheme of blood clots mine appears to be one of the least worrying ones. Which is great because I am prone to being a worrier at the best of times over some things.

I know having to give myself injections is not fun.

I know I have not actually been able to inject myself so far.

I know that Mr A did a much better job tonight at jabbing me than he did last night.

I know I jinxed myself yesterday when I said I was thankful for children who went to bed without fuss.

I know fighting with children over going to sleep is one of the most frustrating things ever.

I know that going to work today was kinda exciting.

I know I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the whole serving customers and being around people.

I know I wondered how long that might last for.

I know I have probably rabbited on for long enough and now it is your turn to share in the things you know!

Oh and I also know that going and liking The Miss Cinders Facebook page would totally brighten up her day

Things I Know

 Gosh, Friday already?

It just doesn't seem right. I am sure that I must have missed a few days somewhere along the line but by all accounts it is what it is and Friday is what it is.

Which means that Miss Cinders is hosting one of the easiest and bestest little ol' linkies to join in with. (Which naturally I am doing and you should too)

The first thing that I know this this is that the school holidays seem to just fly on by way to fast. I am sure that it is just the whole Christmas and New Year thing but either way the thought of school returning in some three short weeks or something is just far too soon for my liking.

I know I like having my kidlets around and spending time with them. Well at least for the most part. And perhaps it is more a case of just strongly disliking the school morning hustle and bustle. Either way school holidays totally rock my socks.

I know that one of the reasons that school holidays get me super excited is because it means less driving time. I am not anti driving or anything but I do love not having to take the car out each and every day. Sadly school is just a little too far away for Zany to bike ride to and from each and every a day so we have little option but to take the car, at least for the moment.

I know I had hoped to have had this post written well before now. Sometimes however, apparently, life has other plans.

I know that my stupid side bar and footer are driving me absolutely batty. They have swapped places and I don't know why.

I know that not having the time to look into why my footer and sidebar have swapped places is also driving me rather batty.

I know that I was already batty enough without my blog adding to the chaos that is my brain.

I know that I have just loved having my sister and nephew around for the last few weeks.

I know that I (as well as Zany and Teapot) will be incredibly sad to be waving them goodbye come Sunday when they get on the plane to go home.

I know that I am just a wee bit pleased at being able to hold a pre second birthday celebration for my nephew tomorrow.

I know that thanks to all the hours I have wasted on this stupid old computer of mine, I have meet some of the most wonderful people ever. Like seriously ever.

I know that as wonderful as the internet is as connecting people it can also lead them feeling very disconnected and alone at times as well.

I know that was super pleased to discover I could make mojitos at home.

I know that because of the above statement  I should probably end this post now. You know on account of possibly having too may mojitos and all.
