A tantrum of epic proportions

Really I should be all kinds of pleased with myself after today’s efforts. I ran 5km to return an overdue DVD and then turned around and moved myself back home. I didn’t actually run as much on the way home but I didn’t catch a taxi either. It also marked the third day in a row of me getting out and moving. So really all kinds of things to celebrate.

But I am not.

Instead I am here moaning and carrying on.

Much like Teapot did earlier today when I insisted she have a piece of fruit before cabana. Or Zany did yesterday when it was discovered I had not gotten a DVD for them like I had said I would the day before. Monumental tantrums they were. Monumental I tell you. Much like how I feel like carrying on right now.

Yesterday Mr Awesome took the car to the mechanics. There has been a rather dreadful sound as we change gears of late. A really grating grinding kind of sound that hurts your ears and makes you shudder. From the inspection yesterday it was determined that it could maybe have been one of two things. One was really cheap and the other was ridiculously expensive.

Naturally it turned out that it was both options.

insert a wide range of swear words with lots of the f word thrown in for good measure.

We won’t get an exact price until we pick the car up tomorrow. A ball park figure though is around the $3000-4000 mark.

insert more unfavourable language I prefer not to use on the blog.

Deep breath.

And again.

To make things even more frustrating there is a chance that Mr Awesome could get some work here. Only when we made enquiries at the van park as to how much their weekly rate was we were told it was nearly double what we are currently being charged.

Yep I kid you not.

At the moment we are paying $156 for four nights, which works out to be $39 a night. Which quite frankly is a bargain. So far we have paid for 8 nights totalling $312. When I asked today what a weekly rater would be I was told it would be $415 for a week. Which works out to be $59.29 a night.

For FFS!

Cue another swear word filled rant.

Lots more deep breaths.

Things I Know that are making me go FFS

Taking a break from my recounts of #ouradventureofalifetime to share a few things I know that are making me go FFS at the moment.

Like rubbish bin trucks that go through caravan parks before for the crack of dawn - FFS.

Given that caravan parks are generally a place people on holidays go and all shouldn't they be a bit later on in the day when it comes to noisy rubbish removal? Not all residents are oldies that wake up with the birds you know.

Our current home looks remote and isolated
but remember lookscan be deceiving.
I know that the noise level of my current neighbours are well and truly doing my head in. Damo across the road sat up boozing with his mate till nearly 11pm the other night FFS. And the two old guys either side of us have taken to returning home from fishing at around nine. Their great big 4WD vehicles do not exactly quietly purr you know. Don't this people know the rubbish truck will be round in the morning? FFS

Yes that's right I am complaining about noise keeping me awake at ridiculously early times because suddenly my night owl tendencies have disappeared and come eight o'clock it is starting to feel way past my bed time FFS.

Which of course leaves little to no time to write or blog or do anything without children hanging off me because eight o'clock is only just after their bed time FFS.

Though my caravan park woes will temporarily be put on hold tonight as I am flying home for my six month check up on my blood clot. This is a combined FFS but not FFS.

I can feel all kinds of ridiculous anxieties building up about the whole thing FFS

Mind you I don't have to cook dinner for the ever hungry children. No FFS. Mind you the fact that they ALWAYS seem to be telling me they are hungry, even five minutes after they have just stuffed their face, is a total FFS. Apparently all this fresh air and sunshine has given them hollow legs FFS.

I know that given all the awesome I have been experiencing of late I should let a few little things make me go FFS but I just can't help it. It probably has to do with the fact that stupid Aunty Flow stopped in for a visit the other day. The same day we headed to the beach actually. FFS. Probably far too much information but I am not a fan of tampons in any shape or form but especially not super sized ones on the first day of a ridiculously heavy flow (thank you very much blood thinners) Beyond FFS.

Oh and while I am bitching and carrying on crap internet connections drive me batty FFS. No internet connection in the middle of no where I can deal with. A crap connection in a largish town is not cool at all FFS.

I know that I have probably stamped my feet and carried on enough for one day now. I feel slightly better for it as well so thanks for listening. Mind you the fact that when I get off here I have to go and tackle the washing and sort out Edna ready for moving day tomorrow makes me what to get back into  screaming FFS.

Sigh.

Things I Know that make me go FFS

Now I know that for the most part I am all airy fairy, lovey dovey, Miss peace and happiness, but of late that has not been working out so well for me. So I thought I would try something a little different today.
I am still sharing some things I know, because Miss Cinders is one of my most favourite blogs and I just love joining in with her. However today I am sharing things I know that make me go FFS and also joining in with Dear Baby G

I know that there is a recurring theme to most of the things that make me go FFS.

Can you guess what it is?

I'll give you a hint, it is a 8 letter word, starts with c and ends with n.

No? Well here is another hint.

I have three of them and honestly I know that some days they should be bloody thankful that they live to see another day FFS

I know that seriously I wouldn't really throttle them to within an inch of their life (and some days possibly even a little further), and I shouldn't joke about it on the internets, someone could get the wrong impression FFS

I know that most of the FFSness around said children mainly revolves around the eldest. Though she manages to get me so worked up that it doesn't take much from the other two to have me screaming and pulling my hair out FFS

I know that is didn't expect the teenage years to be trouble free but I most certainly didn't expect them to be so bloody hard before they even arrived FFS

I know that I have done more deep breathing, counting and walking away in the last two weeks than I have ever done before FFS

I know that it is all hormonal and this too shall pass and all that other crap that is hard to remember when you are actually living in a daily hell because someone refuses to abide by the rules FFS

I know  though that hormonal or not there is still no excuse for me having to ask six thousand and seventy three billion times for the dishwasher to be emptied FFS. The same can be said for putting clothes away and picking up wet towels FFS

I know that rain on my washing days (is it only me who hears Alanis when they read those words?) makes me want to scream FFS very loudly. Even though it justifies me using the dryer, I know have a massive power bill to look forward to. FFS

I know there is just no pleasing some people FFS.  The fact that I am complaining about not being able to fit *all* my towels in the dryer at once FFS is testament to that. I am sure there are many out there screaming at me but at least you have a dryer FFS. yes yes I know

I know that as much as I don't like to swear on the blog, going FFS all the way through this post has made me feel a lot better than when I was screeching like a banshee at the kids this morning FFS

And last I know that joining in with all these lovely bloggers below makes me go anything but FFS
